I’m baaaaaack…

I’m BACK in the SADDLE again!

 I’m back!  Thanks for the kind words about my dissaperance.   I’m in Omaha this week for work.  So, I’m going to catch up!!!

Let me catch you up on where I’ve been:

1) I heard Super-fan Patty was raving with the Teletubbies.  Sadly, it was true.  I think he’s trying to lick the yellow one.  Rumor is this was in San Fransisco.  Bud Light, it’s a helluva a drug!

2) Then I heard stories of Nick Brabson crusing the desert with our old friend Keyshawn Johnson!  I caught up with Brabson and F**K Keyshawn in the Mojave desert.  Brabson and Keyshawn have worked together to produce the wildly popular, “Pimp my Van”.  No, thumbs up to YOU Mr. Brabson!  Mini Keyshawn appears to be looking out the window….

 

3) I found Nick on Patty’s last post!  He’s seen better days!

4) I was in Chicago meeting with Tribune Executives to discuss our final purchase price of the Cubs….stay tuned for more posts!!

Steamboat Update 4.26.07

Training Update 4.26.07 –  This Bearded Bear wasn’t diggin the weather yesterday (Wednesday), so I took the day off.  I hope I can still prepare for “the boat” in time.  Something about running in the rain – with a wet dog – just wasn’t too appealing.  Therefore, we took the day off, and I ate two Little Debby Fancy Cakes.  Man those are good!  Anyway, back to the two-a-days today.

Running in the Boat – Some are still on the fence about running this year, so I’ve compiled some photo’s of people that Santo and I have seen running.  You guys have a good shot at beating these people.

1) Mr. Miagi – This youthful runner is full of energy.  After teaching Daniel-son how to defeat the evil Cobras after the school dance, Mr. Miagi has adopted running as his new “chi”.  Good news for Gar-Bear, you will beat someone!  Mr. Miagi – ‘Your are motoring’!

2)  The PO-LICE!  –  While not in traditional “running” clothes, per se – This runner may very well take the Steamboat title in ’07.  That is if he’s not too worried about losing his wig.  Santo and I outran the Po-po that day.   Oh snap – is that a billy-club??

3) Cardinal Fan Fun Run – East Peoria.  you can imagine my surprise when I saw this Cardinal Fun Run about to begin in East Peoria.  I looked across the river and saw this behind the riverfront Wal-Mart.  Apparently their favorite player is Albert Pujols.  Some had T-Shirts stating, “I take it – Pooo Holes Style”.  Unsure of it’s meaning since I’m a hetro Cubs fan.  I think that is Patty in the blue thong and sunglasses.

4)  Sponge Bob?  not much to say about this.  I think even Drunk Nick can beat this cat.  Dude appears to be getting ready to run though.

Mr. Jacob Renteria is now a father!  I think we need to hit the Aurora Hooters to celebrate in 1 month!

I was very happy for he and his wife Melanie, and their newest addition.  That is until I saw this new form of child-abuse:

Jacob – I HOPE you have a good lawyer.  This can all be avoided if you agree to put CUBS gear on your new boy!  Then you will truly be giving him a leg up in life.  Also, Cubs fans include many good looking chicks.  He’ll appreciate that in about 18 years.

WOW!  I know this isn’t sports or Bears, Cubs, or Anti-Cardinal related, but, it makes me laugh – hard.   Basically, Cheryl Crow wants toilet paper limits, worldwide.  That would suck.  The good news?  She’s still hot!  Wow, 43, huh?

Anyway, Cheryl Crow has announced that she thinks the world should “have restrictions on toilet paper”.  Hmmmm…..  Cheryl added, “I propose a limitation be put on how many squares of toilet paper can be used in any one sitting.” 

BEARDED BEAR THOUGHTS: 

Aftera noon-time Hooters visit with Beer and wings? That ain’t gonna happen hon.  Oh, and the Penguin Tap Pizza for dinner?  And the Ice Cream Shack for dessert?  Better make it two rolls.   One for me, and one to “tee-pee” your mansion.

I just realized, that’s not exactly the best Steamboat Classic training meals, but, it was the weekend.  I’m a pig I guess.  Good thing Bobby left his scarf at my house since there could be toilet paper limits.
